A Brief about ISO 45001

The Global standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) is known as ISO 45001. History of ISO 45001:

ISO 45001 comes from past measures for work health and safety. Groups, such as the International Labor Organization (ILO), set safety norms in the 1950s. The British Standard Institution introduced the OHSAS 18001 standard in 1999. Soon, it became a go to standard for the Health and Safety Management System. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) initiated Project Committee 283, ISO/PC 283, in 2013, earmarked to develop this rule. In March 2018, a fresh guideline, ISO 45001, was rolled out, taking over the position of OHSAS 18001 as the global prototype for workers’ health and safety control. ISO 45001 was a massive move towards helping businesses manage their safety hazards and protect their employees.
